Trentino
A province in the far north of Italy that was under Austrian rule until the end of the war and lay directly on the front line between Austria-Hungary and Italy, with heavy fighting. Italy occupied it in November 1918, and it was formally ceded under the Treaty of Saint-Germain-en-Laye in 1919.
