SMS Goeben

A German battlecruiser which, with the light cruiser Breslau, evaded British forces in the Mediterranean in August 1914 and reached Constantinople. Both ships were transferred to the Ottoman Empire, and by bombarding Russian facilities in the Black Sea Goeben, renamed Yavuz Sultan Selim, brought Turkey into the war.
