Stokes mortar
A British 3-inch trench mortar designed by Sir Wilfred Stokes in January 1915, a smooth-bore, muzzle-loading weapon for high angles of fire. Its bore was actually 3.2 inches (81 mm). It was issued to the British and American armies in the latter half of the war.
