Sopwith Camel
A British single-seat biplane fighter introduced on the Western Front in 1917, armed with twin synchronized Vickers machine guns. It was the highest-scoring British fighter of the war, with 1,294 victories credited to its pilots. Difficult to fly, it could kill an unwary pilot, but it was highly maneuverable in expert hands.
