Mark IV tank
The British tank of 1917 and the most numerous British tank of the war, with 1,220 built. It improved on the Mark I with thicker armor against German armor-piercing bullets and side sponsons that could be swung inside for rail transport. It was first used in large numbers at Messines on 7 June 1917.
