Hotchkiss machine gun

The gas-operated machine gun, Model 1914, that became the standard French Army machine gun in the latter half of the war replacing the unreliable Saint-Étienne gun. It was fed from metal strips that each held only 24 rounds of 8 mm Lebel ammunition.
