Eastern Front
The theater of war between Russia and Romania on one side and Germany, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire on the other, stretching from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea. Unlike the static Western Front, the fighting there was more dynamic; it ended for Russia with the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk in March 1918.
