Chemin des Dames
A ridge road about 30 kilometers long in the Aisne department of France, between the Aisne and Ailette valleys, named for two daughters of Louis XV. Three battles of the war were fought along it, including the Second Battle of the Aisne in 1917, the main component of the Nivelle Offensive.
