Schwarzlose machine gun
The standard heavy machine gun of the Austro-Hungarian Army, a simple, robust delayed-blowback design selected in 1907. Other armies bought it before the war, including the Dutch, Serbian, Romanian and Ottoman, and the Austro-Hungarians used it effectively on the Italian Front during the battles of the Isonzo.
