HMS Dreadnought
The Royal Navy battleship, completed in 1906, that revolutionized naval power and gave her name to a whole generation of ships. Her ten 12-inch guns and 21 knots made all other battleships out of date. She saw little action; her one significant feat was ramming and sinking the German submarine U-29 in March 1915.
